On his picture, Job can be proud and smiling. He knows that it will be posted on a website and that this will help him get the heart surgery he so urgently needs. Job's only luck in life maybe that he needed to be operated for a cleft lip and palate soon after his birth and that he thus had to be followed by a physician, who made the relation between delayed growth and other symptoms and a possible cardiac problem. Job then remained under observation and, in August 2014, was finally brought to the Cardiac Centre Shisong, where Dr. Jean-Claude Ambassa diagnosed a congenital heart defect and recommended an immediate surgical procedure. 

Because of the high cost of this procedure, Job's parents opted instead for a drug treatment. But in January, the last tests showed clearly that surgery is now mandatory. The parents will do all they can to raise 300.000 CFA (€ 458,00) among family members to cover part of the costs.
