Hope-Joy-Sorrow-Gratitude
How much the family had hoped to get an operation place and they were happy that the operation was made possible in November 2022. The successful operation by Dr. Charles Mvondo and his team once again gave cause for joy and hope. Unfortunately, complications arose soon after the operation. Ishatou had to be put back on artificial respiration. Several attempts were made to let Ishatou breathe independently - unfortunately without success. On December 03, 2022 Ishatou left us forever. The parents and the heart center team were shocked to lose such a dear child. In the midst of their grief, the parents found words of thanks and appreciation for the heart center team and you, dear valued supporters.

Ishatou and her parents have made the long journey from northern Cameroon to the capital in the hope that Ishatou can be helped there. In her hometown of Ngaoundere, Dr. Sileu diagnosed Ishatou with Tetralogy of Fallot and recommended an examination by the cardiac surgery team in Yaoundé. The need for surgical correction of the heart defect was confirmed.
Ishatou is an only child. Sahi, the father had a serious accident some time ago and can no longer work as a driver. The family depends on the goodwill of others. Ishatou was therefore immediately included in the mi-do sponsorship program.
