Nsangou is 14 years old and attends high school in Foumban, a city in Western Cameroon. Because he suffers from chronic couphing and fever, Nsangou was never able to play football with his schoolmates. In October 2013, Nsangou's situation worsened and he had to be hospitalized for four days at the Cardiac Centre Shisong. Dr. Jean-Claude Ambassa then diagnosed a severe aortic valve insufficiency, which can only be resolved by an operation.

Nsangou's father, a private teacher, earns just enough to feed his family of six and the operation is thus far too expensive for the family. He nevertheless thinks that he will be able to raise 650,000 FCFA (€ 1.000,00) towards the surgery costs.
