Reunited!
Louisa and her twin brother are reunited! In March 2022, Dr. Charles Mvondo and his team successfully operated on Luisa's heart. Everything went well and Luisa recovered well.
The mother expresses her heartfelt thanks for the generous support and the professional and loving care.

While Louisa’s twin brother is perfectly healthy, Louisa was diagnosed with two heart defects at the age of 4 months – open ductus botalli and mitral valve defect. The diagnosis made in Douala was confirmed by the Cardiac Centre Team in Yaoundè and an urgent surgical correction was recommended.
The family situation is not easy. The father left the young family after hearing about Louisa’s heart disease. Celine, the mother, had to give up her studies and now takes care of the twins on her own.
Thanks to the great “Advent Calendar Campaign 2021” it was possible to secure an operation date for Louisa in March 2022!
