Everything went well!
Br. Boniface has informed us that Nadege has been successfully operated and that everything went well! On July 22, 2019, Dr. Charles Mvondo and his team did a great job again. There were no complications before, during and after the surgery and Nadege recovered very quickly. By now she is back with her family.
Nadege, her parents and siblings wholeheartedly thank the Cardiac Center team, Robin Aid and the mi-do donation community for their wonderful work and support. "We have hope again!"
Finally Nadege can be helped! Since the age of 14, she has been repeatedly treated with medication, but without success. Only the examination by Dr. med. Jean-Claude Ambassa found that Nadege has several heart defects that urgently need to be corrected surgically. She will now be treated professionally at the Cardiac Center Outreach.
Like so many in English Cameroon, the Nadege's family is deeply affected by the socio-political crisis. The parents provide for four children and have virtually no income. The mi-do donation community will therefore assume the operating costs for Nadege.

Cardiac Centre Outreach Yaounde
Due to the socio-political crisis in Cameroon since autumn 2016, work at the Cardiac Center Shisong is significantly impaired. The violence in the SouthWest and NorthWest has been escalating, many streets are impassable and patients can not come safely to the heart center. Likewise, no guest doctors can visit the heart center. Since October 2018, operations had to be canceled.
How to help?
For this reason, a very special rescue mission has been launched - a Cardiac Centre Outreach department will be established in a safe place - in Yaoundè, the capital of Cameroon. Since 21st May 2019 the outreach clilic is operational! Eight patients have been operated upon successfully by the Cardiac Centre team!
This is made possible by the involvement of several organizations. With the help of the MI-DO donation community, we want to support this rescue mission. Therefore we start already with fundraising for the costs of surgery for the second group of patients.
We hope to be able to report here soon about the patient, who will benefit from this program.
