Rosa is 17 years old. Since November 2012 Rosa started developing a persistent cough, fatigue and fever. Her mother brought her to Santa Health Center where she was consulted and treated. The Doctor suspected a heart problem and referred the family to Shisong Cardiac Center for more investigation. Dr. Jean-Claude Ambassa consulted; an Echo Test was done and she is discovered with a Severe Mitral Valve Regurgitation which requires an urgent intervention. 

As a the mother is a housewife whose husband died 03 years ago and catering for a family of 05 children, it is really challenging for Rosa to undergo for the surgical intervention because of the financial situation of the family. However, they said that they have been able to raise the sum of 100.000 FCFA (€ 152,67). 

Rosa will be scheduled for the operation as soon as the financial aspect is resolved. Rosa can be operated approximately between December 2013 and March 2014.

News: Due to the deteriorating health status of Rosa the surgical intervention had to be anteponed, irrespective of the actual recruitment of financial recourses. The surgical intervention was performed in the fourth quarter of 2013. To cover the remaining debts the fundraising continues until 100% are reached. Therafter a final report will be sent to all benefactors.
