Success story
It is amazing how fast a serious heart problem can be solved by the highly specialized work of the Cardiac Center team. Only two weeks passed between diagnostic cardiac catheter intervention, heart surgery and discharge. Dr. Charles Mvondo and his team successfully operated Honorine on April 25, 2017. Honorine recovered quickly and was able to return home in good conditions.

Like every mother, Angele Honorine is primarily concerned about her children. Her own health was never that important to her. What she interpreted as malaria was in fact a long standing heart disease. Finally Honorine followed the advice of the doctors and consulted Dr. Jean-Claude Ambassa at the Cardiac Centre Shisong. Honorine underwent a catheterization diagnostic procedure and she was diagnosed with a large ostium atrium septal defect and a pulmonary hypertension. The doctors highly recommended a surgical intervention.
As a single parent of two children, Honorine is not able to cover the cost of surgery. With the help of the family and friends she will be able to cover the cost for the diagnostic catheterization.
