Marc Prince is from his birth the caring child of his parents. He was very often sick, and after growing slowly, Marc was brought to the hospital in Bamenda. A heart problem was suspected and Marc was referred to the Cardiac Centre Shisong for further investigation. There, Dr. Jean-Claude Ambassa diagnosed a large ostium secundum atrial septal defect that requires a surgical intervention.

Adeline and Elvis, the parents of Marc, cater for three children. As a seamstress and a carpenter they have a modest income but they are not able to cover the costs of a heart surgery. They can contribute 8% of the total costs. Therefor Br. Boniface, the social case manager, asks the mi-do community for their support and thanks in advance for the considerate intervention.

Sad news! In April 2018 Br. Boniface informed us that Marc Prince passed away. R.I.P.

The time to wait for the specialized team was obviously too long. We do hope and pray that in near future a local permanent team for small children can be employed at the Cardiac Centre Shisong.
