Success story

Luc is extremely happy to be able to start thinking positively about his future. On 6 October 2016, Dr. Charles Mvondo and his team have operated Luc and the operation was successful! Luc's recovery was uneventful and he was able to travel back home to his six children.

Luc and his family thank wholeheartedly the MI-DO community of donors and the personnel of the Cardiac Centre. Without their help, this "miracle" would have been impossible.

Luc is responsible for six children and therefore he wants to regain his health as soon as possible. Weak and with tachycardia he came for consultation to the Cardiac Centre Shisong. There Dr. Cabral Tantchou diagnosed a aortic valve regurgitation and recommended to undergo a surgical intervention.

Luc lost his wife, Dora Valentine, some years ago and since then he is catering alone for his six children. Luc cannot bear the whole costs for the operation though the amount he will contribute corresponds to an average income of two years!

Therefore Brother Boniface, the social case manager of the Cardiac Centre, asked the MI-DO community to help Luc through their donations to get the necessary operation.

N.B. The surplus of € 1.430,00 that MI-DO collected for Luc already will be allocated to the next patient in need.
