For whatever reason Raïra Noelie's parents decided not to come to the surgery, we do not know. After more than a year has elapsed since the request, it was decided that the amount saved would be allocated to the next urgent case.
In November 2017, Fany Leticia could be operated on the heart. She had a big patent-ductus-arteriosus. A visiting doctors team from Milan has assisted Dr.Charles Mvondo during the procedure. Andrea Maria, a member of the mi-do team, met Leticia personally during her annual visit to the Cardiac Center Shisong and reported with joy that Leticia is recovering well.
Leticia's parents care for five children. The mother is a housewife and the father technician. The income would never be enough to pay for heart surgery. The parents wholeheartedly thank you for the support!
Raïra Noelie's health condition has been the cause of sorrows for the family for a long time. Noelie is suffering from heart problems since many years and recently her health condition aggravated having persistent fever, strong cough and fatigue. The doctors in the regional hospital of Ngaoundéré decided to send her to the Cardiac Centre Shisong where Dr. Cabral Tantchou diagnosed a severe mitral valve regurgitation and a severe aortic valve regurgitation which require an urgent surgical intervention.
Leonard and Maili, Noelie's parents, are subsistence farmers and cater for 7 children. They would never be able to meet the costs for a heart operation. Therefore Brother Boniface, the social case manager of the Cardiac Centre, asked the MI-DO community for assistance and support for Noelie and thanks in advance for your donation!
N.B. The already collected surplus of € 358,00 will be allocated to Natoucha.
The operation is expected to take place in June 2017
